We’re incredibly excited (and a bit nervous!) to finally share Movierooms with you during Steam Next Fest.
You can now play the free sandbox demo, build your dream (or nightmare!) cinema, and help shape the future of the game with your feedback. 🔗 Try the demo on Steam!
💡 Why Next Fest, and Why Now?
Let’s be real — Movierooms is still in alpha. This is not the final product. But we decided to take the risk and join Next Fest because we believe in growing with our players. Your voices matter, and we want to hear from you as early as possible.
This is not just a game. It’s a passion project. And though it’s been chaotic and intense these past months, we’ve worked hard to squash bugs, rethink features, and craft a strategy for what’s next. We don’t have a big team, it’s just a small group of creators juggling day jobs to fund our dream.
Honestly? Sometimes we wish we had clones or 36-hour days just to keep up. But this challenge is ours, and we love it. Even when it’s exhausting. Even when it’s hard to explain to people who don’t know us.
🚧So What’s in the Demo?
We’re starting small:
🍿Sandbox mode only (build and manage staff);
🎥 Schedule movies;
💸A little customisation: rooms, place seats, projectors, decorations;
🪄 Repair equipments;

We’re gathering feedback and metrics to guide our development. And yes, we’re still looking for the right publisher or partner to help us bring Movierooms to life the way it deserves.
